Bellingham, Washington

Bellingham, Washington

Bellingham reminded me a bit of Victoria, British Colombia; the buildings and stores were lower with an old “Victorian” look to them, the city is filled with vibrant greens, people are generally relaxed and hippie-like, there is a beautiful harbor that runs right into the Pacific Ocean; young adults jumping into the harbor water for a refreshing swim.
The time I spent in Bellingham made me reminiscence over the years I spent in charming city of Victoria; I know I’ll be back someday, but that way I look at it is: I gave up an awesome city and an okay job for an okay city and awesome job, which now allows me to travel the world on a frequent basis!

We stopped at two different stores in Bellingham: Ross’ and Marshalls. Picked up lots of new clothes for pocket change, but the thing is, I still don’t understand how designer brands are so cheap in the States. In Canada, we pay 2-3 times the price of what I’d find in the States. I barely bother buying my clothes in Canada anymore and I just wait for my next trip to the States, I mean, why not? I must have saved myself over 100$ yesterday.

After some shopping, we picked up my Brother-in-law and stopped by a Mexican restaurant called “El Gitano” where I indulged into one of the best Burritos I’ve ever had in my life; the size of it was monstrous too!

To finish off the night, my Brother-in-law gave us a tour of the medical facility that he works in: the “Cancer Center”. He’s a Radiologist, he treats cancer patients with advanced medical machinery, it’s pretty impressive actually!
