About Me

Welcome to my blog “The Traveling Buff”!

The name’s Jordan, traveling is what I live for and I’ll tell you why!
The world is an enormous place; it’s caked with a copious amounts of contrasting cultures in 196 countries; each rich in all aspects of: lifestyle, customs, food, history, architecture, people, landscape, language, traditions, music, art… You get the idea!
When comparing us to the size of our planet, we are like a curious ant; there is so much to learn, see and experience – living three lives consecutively would not even give you enough time to appreciate all this charming world has to offer! Traveling opens your mind without even realizing it, you really start to learn more about yourself, the world and the people in it. Life is too short to live in routine; why lay on your couch and munch on a sack of potato chips when you could be out discovering something new? I mean, realistically, you end up passing away tomorrow or in 70 years, so you need to ask yourself, “What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? How would you want people to remember you? What kind of life are you going to have that you can you look back on with pride?”. I can tell you with confidence that one day, when I become an old and fragile Grandfather, I will to have a unlimited supply of unique stories to pass down to my Grandchildren; will you?
Your mind and soul aren’t the only things that grow when traveling, but also, the meaningful connections you make with the people you meet during your adventure. You end up meeting some really amazing, inspiring and motivational people around the world; most that will hold a tight friendship with you for a lifetime.
I consider myself fortunate to have a career that enables me to live my dreams of traveling the world; but without it, I can honestly say I’d be living off the beaten path, traveling the world and creating my own journey.
I’m writing this blog to share my travel experiences and day-to-day life not only as a Flight Steward, but as a Travel Enthusiast at heart. My goal is to keep you readers up-to-date with exciting stories, posts and media – I want you to live through what I’m experiencing!

  2. Hey. Cool blog! It’s always great to read about other people’s travelling experiences. On our website we normally publish stories and articles about hitch-hiking and travelling so if you any story you would like to be seen by a wider audience (with a link to your blog of course). This is how we do it: http://hitchhikershandbook.com/your-contributions/travel-stories/ Drop us a line if you are interested.
    Happy travels!
