Free Travel App Giveaway!

Good day fellow travelers!

I’ve got some exciting news to share with you all today!

Starting today, I’ll be hosting a giveaway in partnership with “GPSmyCity” to award 20 people, selected at random, free promo codes for the GPSmyCity app.
What is GPSmyCity? Well, I’m glad you asked! GPSmyCity makes popular iOS and Android apps that feature self-guided city walks in over 470 cities around the world.  Each one of the apps contains anywhere from a few to over a dozen of self-guided walking tours for a single city, allowing visitors to explore on foot the best of the city at their own pace. What’s awesome, is that you don’t require an internet connection or a specialized data plan to utilize this app; it runs completely off your phone’s built-in GPS!

The app is free to download, but to access their premium features, you’ll need to upgrade for $4.99 USD – but not if you’re selected to win a promo code from this giveaway! You’ll have access to the full app with all the premium features from one out of hundreds of maps to choose from.

You can see the list of cities available for your own device by clicking one of the two links below.

Here are the premium features

  • High Resolution Map
  • Tour Route Map
  • Turn-by-turn Walking Directions
  • Radar Showing Direction to Sight
  • Create Custom Walking Tours
  • See Nearby Attractions
  • No Advertisements

It’s pretty easy! Follow these simple steps and you will be eligible to win 1 of 20 of these promo codes.

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of this post and select “Leave a Comment/Reply”.

Amsterdam, is my favorite city to walk around in, so far. Why? The architecture, graffiti and the street life.

    • Hey Grace, I’ve been to Amsterdam a number of times and always enjoyed my time there. I had a lot of fun visiting the Bols factory and wandering all over the city. I would love to see more of the Netherlands!

  2. John Usher

Salisbury, Wiltshire -not only was I born there but now visit the city at least once a year from Norway. There are some great walks in and around, especially the walk from Old Sarum to Stonehenge.

    • Hi John! I have been to the UK a number of times, but I have never visited Salisbury. I feel that a lot of citizens in North America don’t know enough about the charming places that can be found on your homeland. I would love to see the Stonehenge!

Florence Italy is my favorite. I feel so at home there. The awesome simple food The wonderful people. It is such a great city to stroll around. The history, beautiful churches and the Duomo.

    • I’ve never been to Florence, but I’ve always heard that it’s one beautiful destination! I had a friend who spent quite a bit of time there and she couldn’t stop raving about how much she loved it!

Jerusalem is my favorite City. There is nowhere else where you can see so much history and culture in such a compact location.

  5. Scotland (Anywhere) – I like the most because the scenery is breathtaking, full of rolling hills, soft meadows, unique village settings, but above all else the history among the old castle ruins. Lots to discover for everyone.

  6. Scotland (Anywhere) – The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, soft meadows, rolling hills, picturesque villages, and the people are some of the nicest around. My favorite is the history among the old castle ruins that can be discovered.

Havana Cuba is my favorite city. As an architectural historian, I love to walk the streets and photograph the blocks upon blocks of historic buildings. At night the streets are alive with music. The people are so friendly and the setting next to the sea is so beautiful, as is the bay and the historic forts that protect it. Stay in Havana Vieja so that everything is close at hand.

    • Hi Richard,

I have yet to visit Havana, or even Cuba alone. My brother-in-law backpacked around the entire country, he really enjoyed it. I’m glad that you and so many others say great things about Cuba!

  8. Rome Bound

Rome is such a beautiful city!
